PollDaddy.com…no it’s not blog for a strip joint! It’s an easy to use poll creator for your blog.

The registration was simple and easy. There was no email confirmation and no “Robot thwarting tactics” to perform. I love it already!

PollDaddy.com offers three simple options for poll configuration.

  1. Multiple choice (select more than one answer)
  2. Other answer (fill in the blank)
  3. Only one vote per user (…..)

You are allowed to add as many answer choices as you want for your users to choose from. If you need more than four just add your next answer in the field at the bottom of the poll set-up page then click the create button.

There are 10 “PollDaddy” skins to choose from. For advanced users there is the ability to edit the poll CSS file to your specs. PollDaddy is a javascript widget (sorry MySpace users) There is, however a direct link to a hosted poll. I don’t know the specs on the hosted poll but I will link it here.

  • I like how easy it was to register and set-up the poll.
  • I wish there were easier color selections (other than CSS edit)
  • I wish there were simple size options (other than CSS edit)
  • I love that your poll results are updated hourly via RSS feed (this is huge)

If you have a larger than average sidebar and you want a poll on your blog sidebar, I reccomend PollDaddy. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Derek,

thank you for your kind comments. My name is David Lenehan, I am a developer at PollDaddy. Just to answer a couple of your questions relating to PollDaddy. You dont have to add 4+ answers, you should be allowed to add as little as you want, did you experience difficulty doing this? it might be a browser issue. We would like our users to be able to choose colors, and resize the polls a little easier. We just have figured out the best way to do this yet, but we will do soon, and as for MySpace? I dunno, we may not be able to get it working in there, but we are going to try.

Once again, thanks for your kind review.

    David.
