Bitty Browser. I’ve been trying to figure out some different ways to use Bitty Browser. I have found my use for it. Google reader shared items. What this means is the Google “clip” refused to work in my blog so I kinda gave up on it. Until now. Bitty browser takes the “clip” a few steps further.
1. It will automatically update (like the “clip”)
2. You get the choice how to display your shared items (unlike the “clip”)
3. You get the option to spread your Bitty via link and code (unlike the “clip”)
4. There are no color choices or skins (unlike the “clip”) which is good. This helps speed.
5. You can change the size of the Bitty (unlike the “clip”)
6. You can display anything with the bitty. Any site, any feed, any anything(I think) (unlike the “clip”)
When Google “clip” was found/delivered I was excited until I switched platforms and found it doesn’t fit in my sidebars. Bummer! So I may have found an inspiring alternative. I have seen some negative posts/comments around the “block” and I fell in step with their thinking. “Why would I want a mini browser on my blog?” Then I took a closer look at it and tried out some of the options and discovered that it’s much more than a Bitty Browser. It’s also a powerfull RSS widget. Maybe a video of the day display. Who knows? Check it out you may like it more than you think you would.
