Polldaddy.com offers free polls for everyone. They have done this since August I believe. I have blogged about PollDaddy before. At that time they were an awesome polling service with a widget.
PollDaddy now has what I call a “widget widget”.
“Widget Widget” simply means they have a bit of JavaScript/HTML you install in your template that allows for easier poll installation.
Edit your template once and every poll you create after, will appear in your blog with out having to edit the code again. Sweet!
“Widget Widget’s” are becoming more popular as more bloggers become “widget aware”. They want widgets but they don’t want to edit HTML all the time. Widgetbox.com is a “Widget Widget” service and also Snipperoo.com. It seems they are both partnering with TypePad to offer One click installation of widgets for TypePad users. (Snipperoo post about partnering) This is awesome.
Widget adoption by the masses!
