In an absolutely brilliant move, MyBlogLog.com has ported their blog community building service to be compatible with MySpace.

Fantastic!
MySpace is THE mega community and consists of millions of users who love to communicate with other MySpacers. The crave the ability to customize their profile pages and to have more “Friends” than the other person.

MyBlogLog widgets on your “profile page” will allow you to see your MyBlogLog visitors, view the sites they author, join those communities and create an even more massive friend list.

I have included an image here of one of the first MyBlogLog widgets that I have seen on MySpace. Of course you will see me at the top of the list. Because that’s how it works. You join MyBlogLog create a profile, install a widget and when you visit someone’s blog, profile or anywhere they have this particular widget, your avatar shows up in 1st position. I call it “simple self promotion”. and it works!

I do recommend that you consider purchasing the MyBlogLog Pro: a monthly subscription fee ($3/month) through PayPal and an annual fee ($25/year) by PayPal or Credit Card. The free version works fine. I like the added features that come with the subscription such as:

“Primarily, MyBlogLog Pro gives you real-time stats in order to serve your obsessive-compulsive data needs. If you have lots of traffic then it’s helpful to get real-time feedback on your links. If you don’t have a lot of traffic, the free version may be sufficient.” (quoted from MyBlogLog)

“Additionally, MyBlogLog Pro gives you a longer list of “top links,” listing all of the links clicked on your site each day, which is useful if you have dozens of links. If you don’t have a lot of links, the free version’s daily Top 10 links is probably fine.” (quoted from MyBlogLog)

I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I could not get MySpace to accept my widget code. :(
