Picasa Web Album widget

Yesterday, Avatar at Bloggeratto wrote about the new Picasa Web Album (PWA) widget.

This widget allows you to display web album photos on your blog or MySpace.

Avatar went on to say:

“Umm, i just checked it again.. it appears that unsurprisingly,it’s a piece of crap.
so, please use the one that Phydeux3 did here”

This is an image of the widget that Phydeux3 created.

According to Phydeux3 some options include:

Display the Widgets Title
Show Border Around Image
Border Color (in Hex)
Number of Images to Display (20 max)
Size of Images in pixels (160 max)

and more

Unfortunately, the Phydeux3 widget doesn’t work on MySpace. So those users are, for now only going to be able to use the actual Picasa Web Album widget.

On a side note: Picasa now allows Video Uploading

I love the Picasa Web Album Widget. I have it on my Crazy Mom’s Journal blog.

Just thought I’d throw in a thumb’s up for Google. I LOVE Picasa, and am trying to switch everyone I know to it.

Thanks for the comment, Diane. I agree, Picasa is very user friendly and great for keeping track of all your photos. The widget almost had to be the top of the list for Picasa. Now they can scratch that one off the list.

it was a let down in terms that is really just a thumbnaill that does nothing.. you can have the same effect going to your album grabbing a image location link and then just making a image link with any of your photos…

oh and, the new picasa development should make picasa userbase do ahuge jump next year if i got my prediction right.
