Technorati.com’s Link Count Widget might be a sweet little add-on for any blog.

I do think it’s incorrectly named however. The name “Link Count Widget” makes me think that it counts links. Which it does. But the text they use in the display of the widget more accurately describes it’s purpose.

“View Blog Reactions Widget” Would this be a better name? Maybe, maybe not.

I would like to invite you to write a reaction about this post. For three reasons:

1. To see how fast Technorati indexes your posts/reactions.
2. To Suggest a different name. One that more accurately describes it’s function.
3. To help to determine it’s usefulness and accuracy.

The widget acts as a sort of trackback. The only difference here is there would be no link to your blog displayed. Just a link to Technorati’s collection of links to this post.
