VodPod.com is an easy to use, free service that allows you to save your favorite videos to “Pods”. There is also a social network to VodPod that allows you to see what is popular in the community and add friends if you want.
VodPod also has the added benefit of “Book marking” a video. What this means is you’ll never have to remember “where did I see that video?”
These “Pods” can be displayed on your blog and are updated when you add a video to them. Adding a video has been simplified as well. Simply drag an “I’m Watching” button to your browsers bookmarks bar or add it to your bookmarks/favorites. When you see a video that you love and would like to share with your readers, simply click on the “I’m Watching” button, add a description or some tags or even a rating and then click “add”.
You can have and display multiple “Pods” on multiple blogs.
VodPod.com is still in beta and they list under 1000 members as of 01/08/2007 but I can see VodPod growing very rapidly in the near future.
Things to know
–There are no color or size choices for the widgets. (yet)
–You have Three widget choices. “Pod videos”(shown), “Pod activity” and “My activity”.

Mark from VodPod wanted to point out (in case you missed it, but probably not as your review was really good and thorough), that you can also search for videos on YouTube, Google video, MySpace and Dailymotion directly from vod:pod. Find something you like, and add it with a click to your pod.
I received this via email and wanted to share and give credit.
