Polldaddy.com Works on MySpace

by Derek Anderson Stumble this! January 15th 2007

Polldaddy.com contacted me today to let me know that they have created a Flash version of their poll widget.

Here is some of what Mr. Lenehan of Polldaddy.com had to say:

This is just a quick note to let you know that we have added a cool new feature to PollDaddy.com. You can now generate your polls in flash! This means is that our polls will now work on your MySpace, Bebo, FaceBook, and Blogger accounts. They will now work pretty much anywhere that allows flash. The only thing different on your end is that, when you create a poll and you go to the “HTML Code” page to get the code for your poll, there will be a new script you can copy for a “Flash Poll”. If you don’t have any interest in flash polls then continue as you were and your PollDaddy polls will still work the way they always have.

I love it when companies recognize the value of making their widgets work on popular locations such as MySpace and Bebo. I would also like to see more companies with widgets, collaborate with sites that don’t allow external widgets. Vox.com comes to mind. There are others I’m sure.

Everyday I see more widget automation. Such as “add your widget to your Typead account automatically”. This is great! It helps to get more people using widgets.

Thank you, Polldaddy for creating a MySpace friendly version of your polls. MySpacers thank you as well.
