Blinkx search: Widgets

This is a Blinkx video wall widget.
It displays video thumbnails based on a keyword search. You can place it anywhere…even MySpace (until Blinkx gets blocked)

The default size widget is really to big for anything other than putting it into a post. (unless you have 640px wide side bars) I had to edit the code a bit to make it fit better. I have reduced the width to 300px to make things more manageable.

The video wall is viral. It lets you grab the embed code right from the widget and you even get to choose the layout size right there. The widget also contains a link to Blinkx to get your own widget created from your search results.

nice widget, but I think heavy for any page. I wouldn’t put it on my site.

Derek, you can specify the size of the widget when you grab the code. No need to hand edit the code.

  3. -Ming, I didn’t find the size option from the “Create your own video wall widget page”. I may have overlooked it though. I do like the fact that a person can choose the size right from the widget.

Just checked blinkx.com and you’re right. The “Wall it” page doesn’t have any configuration options.

You would think that they would have put it there since it’s already in the widget embed options.
