Snapzilla (sluniverse.com) SLuniverse is a site dedicated to users of Second Life.
So I see the widget…
Yes you do and it’s a simple iframe widget that displays images. These images are actually snapshots taken from inside Second Life and uploaded to Snapzilla on SLuniverse. As each image is uploaded it’s gets displayed in yonder widget. Each image links to the original image on the Snapzilla site.
ahhh…but what do they say?
Snapzilla is a photo sharing site built specifically for Second Life, and is part of the SLUniverse.com site. SL residents are easily able to share images with the site simply by clicking Snapshot and then using the Email Postcard option directly from SL. No need to save to disk and then upload to the site. Images are sent to the email address pics@slpics.com, and are automatically added to the site. Teen SL members can also submit pictures to the site by using teen@slpics.com.
You do not have to be a registered Snapzilla member to submit snapshots - any SL resident can send an image, and it is completely free. Benefits of registration include the ability to edit the title, description, and tags of your images, create albums and favorite photo lists, leave comments, and more. New features are being added constantly to the site.
Why would I want this? I’m not on Second Life.
Nudity. Semi-realistic cartoon nudity for free. Sometimes people wander over to the clothing optional side of Second Life and start taking snapshots.
Every once in a while one of these snapzillas will grace your widget.
I would like to see them grace my widget! WooHoo!
Opinion time.
I will argue that the Snapzilla widget is cool but would be a ton better if it were flash based. there are millions of people on MySpace that crave this stuff. I would lean towards making it possible for them to use this widget. I didn’t say cater to them…just make it possible.
