This is cool! Opera browser is getting into the web widget game.

It seems now days that everybody is kicking around a widget idea. The very idea of a widget is becoming extremely viral.

Yes, I know that Opera has had widgets for a while.

But it looks as though they are putting their widgets in the mainstream and allowing users to paste them into their sites. Everyone likes another choice and here comes Opera with that choice.

The people over at the Opera.com/widgetize site have this to say…

If you’ve ever wanted to have a widget of your own but didn’t have the time to create it – here’s your chance. All you need to do is tell it what you want it to do. Let people keep up-to-date with what you’re doing, or create a widget for a site you frequent yourself. It couldn’t be easier with the Opera Widget Generator.

Widgetize!

Something is different here.
It appears as though with the Opera Widgetize service, you get a badge to put on your blog. This badge is not a widget! First…it’s a link to your widget that is located on a page that Opera has created for you. If you aren’t currently using the Opera Browser…then it becomes a link to the Opera Browser download page.

Here I was all fired up.

I had figured that I had another cool widget offering to review. Something similar to others but a bit different. Widgetize is Bullsh*tize
