PocketFuzz.com Mystery widget

by Derek Anderson Stumble this! June 13th 2007

I read about PocketFuzz
on Webware/pocketfuzz.

According to Webware, PocketFuzz is a pretty cool website offering a service to artists, where they can sell their music as ringtones. The article states that the interface between the artist and the customer is widget based. Not generally requiring a visit to the PocketFuzz homepage.

What makes Pocketfuzz different from any other ringtone site is that fans of the band can choose the portion of the song that they want to use as a ringtone, rather than being offered pre-selected clips. Then you can send them directly to your cell phone This can be done either through PocketFuzz’s Web site or through widgets than bands (and fans) can embed in Web sites, blogs, and social networking profiles like MySpace. When I spoke to PocketFuzz creators Austin Gayer and Danny Newman on Tuesday, they confirmed to me that a Facebook Platform widget is in the works, too.

The widgets are really the central focus of Pocketfuzz, as all purchasing and downloading activity can be completed through them without needing to actually visit the homepage.

Seeing the word widget…I went to the site to see the widget. (I wanted to play with it. test out it’s functionality)

Nothing!

There are some artists and their ringtones, but there is no widget to mess with. There is a listing that tells you what you can expect to make $$ per downloaded ringtone.

PocketFuzz allows you to sell any of your songs as ring tones. With the PocketFuzz Ringtoner, your fans can take any part of your song they want as their custom ring tone! We have no setup fees, no monthly fees, and no minimums!

If you sign up by June 30, 2007, receive these pay-outs:

I still wanted to try out the widget!

  1. Hi Derek,
Just came across your site. I wanted to point you to an example of the PocketFuzz widget on a MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/millionbillion (scroll down a bit). You can also find the widget at the top of every artist page on the PocketFuzz site itself.

    Great site!
