Webwag announced today the launch of the Webwag Mobile beta version. Webwag is the first internet software publisher to offer access to the mobile extension of its web widgets thanks to its new Webwag Mobile technology. Webwag Mobile synchronizes with the Webwag.com start page universe such as emails, RSS feeds with images, weather forecast, image sharing and notepad.
First available on Java mobile handsets, Webwag Mobile works with up to 10 times less data compared to WAP applications “Webwag Mobile synchronizes data rather than downloading whole pages all the time, connection speed is thus higher and billing cost lower” adds Florent Pitoun, COO, in charge of the mobile product and strategy.
Ultimate personalization, Webwag mobile users can set their background screen with images of their choice from Flickr.
By month end, Webwag will provide developers with an API to build mobile widgets.
