This appears to be a simple to use iPhone app that displays what has happened on this day in history.

Unfortunately, judging by the picture, it should be named ‘this Day in U.S. History‘ …and this comes from the makers of ‘MacKiev’s 2007 World Book Multimedia Encyclopedia’…it could be just for display purposes as well.
