Unic8.com has some very interesting widgets. This is why I have titled this post with “Extraordinary widgets”. Unic8studios is a company that develops software and has been doing so since 1998. They are based in Stuttgart Germany.

The widgets they have created are a bit more advanced than your usual widgets.

The main difference between typical widgets is the way the operate. Our widgets are not just toys with an eye-candy look… they power-up your site and its content. They analyze and optimize the usage of your existing content and generate new one without any necessary extra work.

The widgets
unicMarker This is a bookmarking widget that organizes the main social bookmarking sites into a sweet little package. As with all great widgets, the colors and sizes are configurable. Even the text can be altered.

unicSlider is an awesome photo slide show widget. That description hardly describes what this widget can do. Anyone can click to view images in the browser or click to go to the authors homepage. You can pause the show and even back up to the previous image or advance to the next image. As the blog aothor employing this widget you have complete control of the size and colors of the widget. You also can edit the text parameters and control of the image transition effects. There are many more settings.

unicTagger is a cool widget that allows you to specify a number(30) of websites/blogs of reference to associate with tags found on your site. The list is in order of importance based upon the number of times it is found in the context of your site.

unicWorkerThis is an attractive that allows your readers to search the web or even convert your blog to a printable PDF. The Worker Widget is also a translation widget. It allows your readers to translate your blog to their language by just clicking their country’s flag. Then your page is brought up in the Google translate website.

unicTimer This is a calendar widget powered by upcoming.yahoo.com. With this widget you are capable of sharing important dates with your readers. Conferences, parties or event rallies…whatever you can come up with that you think your readers would care about can be placed in this widget. You will need to create an account with upcoming.yahoo.com in order to effectively use this widget.

All of the widget created by Unic8.com require to register for a unique user code to enable the features of the widgets. Each widget requires two snippets of code be placed into two different areas in your blog’s code.
