Widgets Lab is a blog dedicated to finding and reviewing widgets of all types. People are always asking "what are widgets?" Well in this case widgets are simply bits of code that you can add to your blog, web site or community profile. (as in MySpace and others) Also widgets can be downloaded to work with a 'Parent' application such as Mac Dashboard or Yahoo! widgets. ClickComments Removable logo
August 29th, 2007 by Derek Anderson Leave a reply »It sounds like enough users dislike the ClickComments logo located on the ClickComments widget, so much so, that the developers have decided to make it optional.
They indicate that the logo is designed to attract attention to the widget. Who knows?
I think the ClickComment people have decided that the users are the ultimate decision makers and that what they want is what they get. Good choice!
They have, however, added some new 3D icons to spice up your comments and allow readers to give a quick vote on the comments. Of course, you have the option to stay with the original icons as well.
Here is a screenshot of the widget set up interface. You can see the optional choices and see the only requirements to use this widget is a URL and a language choice. Nice!
