Splashcast new look and new features

Splashcast, today takes off the wraps on their new and improved player. It seems that after long months of aggregating user feedback and I assume some late night coding sessions, they are ready to show off their hard work.

Here’s a peek at their handy work. (I am a sucker for beautiful English voices)

Seems they got rid of the Lt. Blue in favor of some more mechanical styles. Sure does improve the ‘Visual Strenght’ of the player!

New features
and annoyance fixes are plentiful. They have added the ability to leave comments on your channel. Viewers can leave a text comment an audio comment or even a video comment. (I see naked opinions)
Navigation of items via thumbnail makes life easier. You can also title your items. These are called ‘Captions’. In the past each item was categorized based on a numbering system…blah! Personalized titles are far more appealing.
Full screen button resides right in the player now.
The send button now allows you to email an entire show or simply one item from a player.

Follow me! is a new feature that automatically notifies your friends and watchers when you have published new media to the player. Basically a simple way to subscribe to people created media and stay current with whats happening.

If you aren’t familiar with Splashcast, they give you the tools to create your own Internet television series. You are the network! Splashcast takes vidcasting not only to the next level, but a level or two beyond that. You have to check it out for yourself. My words won’t do it justice.
