NewsGator and USA Today have created a trio of widgets that are centered around travel.

These widgets are designed to be very informative and deliver such things as latest travel news about airlines, airports and air travel in general. The ‘Travel Deals’ widget delivers airfare and destination deals from ShermansTravel.com The “Top Travel Stories’ widget displays the most popular travel related headlines from USATODAY.com

Each widget comes in a Flash based format that allows for use just about anywhere on the web. From Myspace and Facebook to Pageflakes and iGoogle. Very versatile in where they can be displayed and very viral in nature. Each widget has the code built in so your readers can grab a widget from the one on your page.

A big fan of custom options will be disappointed. There are no front end custom options at all. What you see is what you get. However, if you are comfortable mucking around in the code(there’s a ton of it) you might be able to effect some custom changes.
