For $29-$39 you can purchase a ‘YourBrand’ widget

BurningWidgets.com, the makers of funny4myspace widgets have come up with the idea to sell publishers and bloggers, their very own ‘Branded’ widget. Essentially what this means is you get one of their widgets with your link on the bottom. The widget is linked to your website, blog or Social Profile. Someone comes along and wants the ‘cool’ widget on your site. They copy the code, paste it into their site or even Myspace profile and now they are linked to you!

Burning Widgets use Flash programming so they work on:
MySpace, Friendster, Facebook, Tagged, Orkut, Blogger, Hi5,
Freewebs, Xanga, LiveJournal, BlackPlanet, Piczo, WordPress, Typepad and more!

There are 11 different widgets to choose from. Including jokes, quotes and bumper stickers.

I wouldn’t be too surprised to see more in the near future if things take off.

At first I thought “who is going to pay to use widgets? After looking further into it, this is an interesting idea that I don’t think I have seen before. Sort of a spin off of the reseller rights for e-books distribution. Except the blogger gets links instead of cash.

Someone put a lot of thought and research into this website. It looks great and is extremely easy to maneuver…super cool wigets too! I’ll be back to purchase widgets for my site.
