WidgetBucks shares revenue from ads in their widget
Eric Schonfeld at TechCrunch has just posted a review about WidgetBucks.
WidgetBucks (formerly Mpire) has created a contextual widget that displays products as ads based upon the content of your site. if your site doesn’t mention many retail products then you might not benefit from this type of widget ad. However, I suggest that you give it a try and see for yourself.
People don’t necessarily need to purchase for you to earn revenue. These are ads, not affiliate links like Amazon. They do, however require a click to be profitable.
WidgetBucks claims between $4 and $6 CPM depending on the widget style you choose.
This widget style claims to deliver up to $5.50 CPM They also promise to deposit $25.00 in your account to get the ball rolling. Payouts start at $50.00 so you’ll be half way there.

Of course the jury is still out, but this may become the next big thing. I have seen more and more ad related widgets coming down the pipe and I’m sure one of them will hit!
I have included the widget in the sidebar to test out the ‘MerchSense’. According to what I am seeing…this blog talks about mobile phones quite a bit…huh?
