meeCard allows you to create a ‘Contact Card’ for all your social affiliations

meeCard.com was created as a means to display yourself and your social links in a manner similar to a business card. So far meeCard is in private beta but soon it will be open to the public. At this point we are unsure as to the programing behind the widget. We would assume Flash, as it means maximum distribution of such a widget even across link barren places such as Myspace.

Based upon already created meeCards found on the site, we see that Favicons are used to depict all the various social affiliations. Including Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, Pownce and others. The list is extensive and includes a ‘Custom Add’ for any social affiliations not included on the list. (I have included an image to show you the list)
Hell, even YouTube is on this list!

This image is from the site…so it doesn’t represent the actual widget. I believe they were performing maintenance on the site when I visited. The meeCards seemed to change from one minute to the next.

This service is similar to ShowYourselfWidget. Except that meeCard is far more in depth.

  1. Thanks for the review! We’ve been quite pleased with the feedback we got over the last few days, and whilst the usability could be improved in a few places, we’re not far off been launched now.

We fixed a few bugs yesterday so apologies if you hit the maintenance window.

  2. George,

Thanks for the response. I am glad to see that you guys have taken a good idea and expanded upon it. I always suspected there was room for improvement in the ‘Where you can find me’ arena.
