whos.amung.us offers blogging tools in cool widget forms
Widgetslab has written about whos.amung.us in the past. But they seem intent on offering up new and wonderful tools on a continuing basis. So…we’ll keep writing about these important additions to whos.amung.us.
Originals
whos.amung.us is known for showing current visitor counts on a blog. The original widget is an attractive, rounded corner, shiny, web2.0 style badge that simply displays the number of current visitors to a site or blog. This widget should work easily on Myspace as well, as it uses simple HTML for the code.
Surprise surprise… The original widget has a completely custom color option that allows you to choose your colors from a cool color wheel. You are also able to enter any HEX color code to make your widget a perfect match to your site or profile. Cool!
Something newer
maps.amung.us is a cool, live visitor map widget that is very Myspace friendly. These maps update without page reloads, which is a very cool feature.

There are two available sizes of maps. A wider, profile friendly map, about 430 px and a more conservative, sidebar friendly option about 200 px wide. There are 10 map styles available. These contain themes such as Columbus and Moon Light. there is a cool Heat Map style as well.
The visitor markers or ‘Pins’ have 9 different options for style and another 8 choices for colors. Diamond, Cross, Spinner and Target are just a few of the available ‘Pins’.
graphs.amung.us is another feature from whos.amung.us that allows you to view detailed information about your visitors.
How many users were on your site?
Now, with graphs.amung.us you can conveniently check how many people were concurrently on your website or blog in the past, right down to the hour.
Frequently updated graphs work automatically when you are using our free widget or maps service.
Looking for graph widget code? Find it under graphs on the stats page after you add the original widget.
When I went view the widget code and settings for the graphs, it was down for maintenance and upgrades. Keeping with the standards that whos.amung.us have attained, I’m sure that this maintenance will be taken care of very quickly and the graph widget will be as tasteful and well done as the rest.
others…
There is a Firefox plugin that allows you to view your traffic without having to view your site.
and…
A mini whos.amung.us has been created for those that found the original too large. (view it to the right)
