Criteo produces a pretty well known widget now, it has passed more than half a year since Derek did a post on it and some things have changed since then, lets take a look:

The changes are pretty much evident in the last 9 months making the criteo widget a solid display in a lot of blogs but really not a widget in the Edge of latest tech in terms of implementation, widgetslab have been sporting the Criteo widget for some months now and we can note that it is indeed a positive thing to have in your blog, we just wish it offered more options and could get upadted more often to remain not only relevant but hip.
Criteo is also now offering a widget adnetowrk in the same factor than this widget but it is only offered to the french network, it will be interesting to see if the widget gets updated when that ad network gets released also for english and spanish blogs.
The blogroll network widget got a lot of competition lately and it will be interesting to see how a pioneer responds to it.
