Slatecard helps you collect donations for your candidate

Slatecard.com has created a Flash widget that allows you to do a bit of fund raising for the Republican candidate that you favor. this widget is obviously limited to Republicans. Why Democrats are excluded is not known.

This widget is not limited to the Presidential race either. It covers all candidates for all offices (on a national level) Simply go to Slatecard.com and choose your candidate, then click the link to ‘Grab the widget code’. Then off you go to paste it into your blog. You can also create your own ‘Slatecard’ to promote multiple candidates. This comes with your very own Slatecard page that includes all of the candidates you support and a personalized URL link to promote your Slatecard.

The widget uses web friendly Flash. So it can be placed on most blogging platforms and social profiles…even Myspace. It comes in two widths. Sidebar friendly 150 px and a slightly widget 228 px. Looking into the code a bit, I see that it may be possible to alter the background color as well.

Whatever the case, I see that republican supporters are utilizing the internet to spread the word. i haven’t searched for ‘Republican’ widgets or ‘Democrat’ widgets, but it seems as though a majority of the widgets that I find lean towards the Republican side. (just an observation)
