Display a cloud of recent RSS entries linked to related content

Feednames.com creates a tag cloud style widget that contains a number of your previous post headlines gathered from your RSS feed. They call this a ‘NameCloud’ and it delivers what they say it does.
A NameCloud.

Now it doesn’t stop here. this NameCloud is populated with keywords from your post titles that are links to those articles you have posted that appeared in your RSS feed. It also, upon hovering over the link, pops up the post title.

There is a blue circle to the left of the keyword link that, when clicked, pops open a new window that displays any related blog posts that have linked to your post. This to me appears to be a new way to deliver links and trackbacks to your articles. Possibly a traffic generator if readers are looking for alternative viewpoints.

This is an iFrame coded widget which indicates that it’s still relatively new and could benefit from a Flash treatment. The delivery is handled through gigya.com which is a sure sign of a developer wanting more from the widget.
There are no custom options yet. But I expect they will be along if enough people ask for them. If you dig into the code a bit you may be able to alter the width of the widget. If you are good you may even be able to add colors.

There is no registration and the service/widget are free to use.
