Coke Bubbles: the first commercial Joost Widget

Joost is certainly in a roll, first they did a deal with Meebo to elaborate on a partnership and now they have landed their first high profile commercial advert widget from Coca-Cola, it would be very hard to argue that there could a bigger brand than Coca-Cola….
The best of all is that this is not a news announcement, the widget is already out and ready to use so you can learn on Joost Widget installation while using it.
the only you have to do is go to the Coke Bubbles site and follow the instructions, when ready you will be prompted to download a file with termination .joda, as in Cokebubbles.joda.
Something i find kinda weird is that you actually have to install the widgets in a way very reflecting of Greasemonkey scripts since Joost is often used as a example of cutting edge web 2.0 apps and this does not reflects it. i guess that having a Widget Gallery inside Joost is something that must be in the works or in the worst case scenario having a online directory with a more streamlined install experience….
Now, passing on the Coke Bubbles widget, it seems to be a way to send out shouts to people about what you are watching as a way to recommend what you are watching and to also promote Coke Bubbles that as you go sending messages, these messages will be converted into comment coke bubbles.
Confused?, yeah, me too.. but the bubbles do look cool when you open the widget… so there you go.
i will cut the widget some slack because it is the very first widget i use in Joost and i think the only one from a third party.
So i recommend it to Coca-Cola fans (i am all about pepsi, so it is not for me) and to those curious about how third party Joost widgets are gonna work.
(exact size and look of the widget once you hover on it)
