Spock: Search People,Display that Search in your blog

Spock is a People search engine based on a Personal Directory with a profile system that can work as a social network and as a social aggregator to some degree. it is like a mixture of technorati and Socialurl.
you can be part of the directory so you can be searched by name, keyword or tag the interesting bit they have just put in practice last week is to offer widgetzided searches so if you search for people with determined interests, traits or that fit into certain adjectives you get a search list of people, you can share that search with other spock users, to a e-mail or as a JavaScript widget that you can put in your blog sidebar and soon also generate Flash widgets so you can truly share it anywhere.
The first question that pops into mind of some is “Why would i want a search of people i don`t know in my blog to begin with?”. this serves very specific niches, lets say you got a fanblog, a blog or a social network for rock minded people, the you would need some rockers in your blog right? or you would be interested in making a mental association to people that visit your site (be it rock,a sport, cars, etc) and this search can do that for you, it can also work as a unintentional profesional listings in a way LinkedIn should also do now that i think of it.
in anyway it is a interesting idea and a way to stay relevant extending their exposure to the blogosphere.

I am finding that Spock.com is promising, but has a long way to go in the people search area. We’ll see how it progresses and competes with the likes of zoominfo.com and zabasearch.com
