Crossloop is the kind of software that attracted my attention from the first time i knew about it. it is a live collaborative session sharing software. it lets you share your PC session with someone else so you both can see the very same thing, and you can let someone interact with you and your pc be it for IT or just to show them directly what you want them to see. others services like it are SharedView from Microsoft and Yuuguu.

Crossloop now has found success and after checking their data they realized that most off the people using the service were giving or receiving Technical support so in a  struck of a genius they decided to re-focus their marketing and service to cover that need in specific, so they are now creating a network of Support helpers, so you can make a account or use your actual account and get a profile where if you want to help, you can do so and people will be able to rate your help giving you IT support creds or showing you need to get better at it if you want them and as they want users to be able to show their creds off and promote the service, they have released a CrossLoop Badge so you can do it easily.

This is a good idea and it resembles the way sites like Ebay and Amazon work and why they remain leaders in their respective markets thanks not only to their userbase and marketshare but to their Trust and  rank based systems.

So if you are curious about this or want to take that Yahoo! answers helping quirk to a next level, you need to have a look at it.

i’ve been using a product similar to this. it’s called Yugma – https://www.yugma.com – and it also allows you to take control of someone else’s computer. they allow up to 10 people into their free account at once, so it’s great for meetings too. check it out.
