Netvibes: Ginger soon to launch.

Netvibes is not playing around, i must give it to them, they are determined to crush their competition in the independent Start Page market, secure fourth place at the global mark, pave their way to become the biggest widget distribution channel and receptor and also conquer the first place as the number one social aggregator.

They plan to make that happens thanks to the pretty hyped release of Ginger, their next generation platform and base code that will revamp the usability, look and feel of their service while at the same time offering new features and new levels of engagement with their users.

Judging from the preview and the numbers that netvibes is now registering that places over 100,000 widgets to choose from in their ecosystem it seems pretty much sure that they will get all their objectives, the interesting will be to see where that takes them afterwards.

but given the sheer number of widgets that have reached a critical mass, i also hope they have thought a way to sort out all those widgets without making browsing their ecosystem a impossible burden.
