Friendster Developer Platform Launches

Friendster Developer Platform is finally in the open, and at the moment of launch is claiming 180 apps to start checking it out on a social network userbase of 56 million. not too shabby, it really should be noted as not a “small” platform by any means just not a big platform in North America (Can/USA/Mex). but it enjoy a huge popularity in Asia, East Europe and some countries of Latin America and that alone should make sure they do good.
Another thing to point out is that they are going the Double Agent route by supporting Opensocial but starting with their own platform first along the biggest names in Widget development. Something that should be of interest for this blog and its readers.
So if you want to try to remember your Friendster password from 2005 or give it a try again, you can rest easy knowing that friendster is still current with the times.
