Tell readers about you, with a cool MyBlogLog widget
MyBlogLog has created a new JavaScript widget for your blog. This widget can show off who you are on MyBlogLog, what sites you have affiliated with MyBlogLog and also what social communication tools(if any) that you use. With the likes of Twitter, flickr, Digg, Facebook etc… all linked to your accounts on these sites. If you ever thought about hiding…that time is over!
The Widget
The widget itself is somewhat customizable. You get to choose colors for links and backgrounds as well as borders and headers. The widget comes with a predefined set of color schemes too. There are also options to choose what information is displayed or not displayed.
The widget is stuck at 180 px in width. This should work for most, but as always, someone will bitch because they can’t tweak it to 185 px or some such.
Its Java
Yes it’s a JavaScript! This also angers some people that don’t use sites that allow Java. What can you do?
I like the widget!
It is another key piece in the online social puzzle that will ultimately connect everyone with everyone else. (resistance is futile)
Check out the widget. It’s already active in your MyBlogLog account. Just log in and go to “Edit My Profile” and then click on “About Me Widget” and start picking your colors.
