ThatIsMyMouse: Social Browsing/Chat Overlay Widget

I have seen many blog scripts in my life, more because of my blogging ways and being that guy from Bloggeratto of course. so it takes more than something featured to make me interested in a blog script or blog widget. it is all about the execution and the use of it more than anything.
Having said all that, Thatismymouse is a Widget i do like. Thatimymouse is a very nice JS script that allows you to have a social browsing experience thank to the sharing of the cursor pointer tags so it will show the position it is in along with your name, hence the term “that is my mouse” for the name of the service.
Now lets quote directly from the site for a broader and direct description:
“ThatsMyMouse shares your mouse position with other visitors on the same webpage to open up a new world of real-time web-based interaction. Each person’s mouse position on the page is represented by an avatar with their name written on it. As they move their mouse, you can see what they point to and what links they click on.
ThatsMyMouse also offers a range of API functions that gives website developers the power to build a whole new range real-time interaction based web applications.”
And there you have it, not only you can take out the service as a script widget for your blog but you can also integrate it in your site if you desire and have a automatic interaction with your visitors the very same way.
I think this would be great for a asynchronous screen sized shopping website. having a chat while you buy would make the experience better if someone is there to show you and help in real time. the same goes for auctions, how many times i have wished you could talk with the seller directly before bidding for something.
They got two demo sites right now:
The Company Blog:
Nothing like a company using their own service to show some credibility.
A Maps Mashup:
A live dome of a real use scenario in a Google Map, so you can not only search for a direction but ask for them or discuss them.
So if you want something to interact with users in real time without they having to install anything at all, this is a good way to do it.
