Pixsy is a alternate search engine somewhat focused on news and topical search to a certain end. it always has stroke me as odd why they never released end users solutions and offered search widget with their service. then i looked more on who funds the service and what is the angle they follow in the way they supply their service and the thing is that they very focused into offering search solution to other companies and to develop those solutions into other services in a “on demand” approach.
Now they have supplied PageFlakes with a Search widget or Flake as they call them and it is very good, well designed, fast enough and it does what it is intended too, so the Flake is now available to use in PageFlakes
PageFlakes is a Startpage just like netvibes, and at first is was the most advanced one, while that don`t holds true anymore, it is still a great option and is still above, even if by little of the big 3 offerings.
