Maybe it’s just me…but I hate tax time and taxes. I hate having a deadline to do more work and shell out more money just so the government can make sure that we are square on the money that they have stolen from me.

With that said…

Here are some interesting offerings from H&R Block during this wonderful tax season.

1. This is a Countdown to Tax Time widget that comes complete with a celebration type theme. Almost like a birthday party with the balloons.

2. Here is a “Magic Eight Ball” style tax widget that allows you to ask “Tax Related” questions and delivers vague answers that should not be relied on in any circumstances. It’s called Block of Fortune widget. (a bit of spin on the H&R Block name)

3. Deductor is a Flash game widget that allows you to fly/surf around collecting tax deductions while trying to avoid getting audited by evil IRS Agents. This is actually kind of fun and made me forget about the dreaded tax time for a few minutes.

All in all, these widgets aren’t too bad and they don’t preach taxes too much. H&R Block has come up with a good idea here to help spread their name and have a bit of fun with it.
