iGoogle Gadgets Creator for Orgs and Dummies

Google released this week a iGoogle Gadget creator geared for organization that find themselves in the need of spreading their message and are willing to try a widget to do so.

This iGoogle Gadget creator keeps things simple, maybe too simple and basic for my taste and even for the taste of regular users. it is almost geared to a casual user minded target. i find that odd because they are not exactly the kind of users i would find as willing to use a widget to promote pretty much because they are most likely to not know anything about such a thing in the first place

Then there are the Org’s, what kind of org, not profit or whatever could really take advantage of a creator as basic as this one?. but i guess Google want to make sure they cover all their bases.

Another thought is why would you want to do a iGoogle Gadget only. the better you can do for your org is to look for the High Spread factor. make a widget that can be used everywhere.

So i must recommend you to go with a UWA Netvibes widget instead if what you want is a basic widget but that can be used anywhere..
