Time Magazine Quote of the day widget

Time magazine, using clearspring.com technologies, has created a “Quote of the Day” widget for display on the time.com website.
The widget is also available for anyone to use and display on their blog, website or social profile.

Where is it?
If you think to go to the Time.com website to look at todays quote, you may have a spot of trouble.
The widget is not displayed on every page of the site.
I’m sure there is a pattern to where and why they display the widget, but at this point it doesn’t matter. As of the writing of this, the widget can be seen on this post about recycling. (look lower right sidebar)

Could be better!
There really isn’t anything special about a “Quote of the Day” widget. I think Time could do quite a bit better with their widget strategy in spreading their logo across the web.
Give the people some meat to their widget.

Whats the solution?
I think a widget that delivers the current top 5 stories on Time.com with compelling opening paragraphs that get readers to click-through. (simple enough)

Lets add incentive for the blog publisher.
The stories in the widget could also contain links to related products and any sales resulting from click-throughs on a blog publishers widget obviously result in a commission.
Being a publisher myself, I would like to see 100% of the commission delivered to the publisher. (Time.com would see increased revenue from increased traffic)
