Myspace private profiles hacked with yahoo widget

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan get more exposure
Story is that Canadian computer tech, Byron Ng, discovered that Yahoo’s integration with MySpace makes it easy to view photos for any profile regardless of privacy settings.
ooops!

How it was done:
“In short, here’s what Byron did… He started by knowing that Paris Hilton’s hidden profile is HERE, and Lindsay Lohan’s profile is HERE. This info is readily available on the internet, but the profiles are set to private… That’s where the hacking kicks in.
Byron found that by signing into yahoomail, one can download a beta myspace widget (start HERE), then one can view any profile based on the profile number, regardless of whether or not the profile is hidden.”
Opinion:
I wouldn’t call this much of a hack.
He pretty much stumbled upon a vulnerability created when different technologies become interactive. I don’t really know if this is even worthy news except for the fact that your so called “Privacy” is just that…so called.

Ok. This is no longer available. I have someone that is harassing me and they have set there profile to private. Is there anyway to look at a private profile
