In terms of Domains. there is no way to go around the fact that GoDaddy is the biggest player in the game. i happen to know a thing or two about domains because i used to commerce with them back in the nineties and i also own handful of them. but now everyone active enough online owns a handful of them or change domains from time to time too.so why not have a widget for that?
GoDaddy was clever enough to have a proper domain to put the widgets so you don`t have to go further than searching or typing GoDaddyWidgets.com to find them and these are the widgets they got to offer:
Vista Sidebar Gadget

Install link for Godaddy Vista sidebar Gadget
Mac OS X Dashboard Widget

Install link for GoDaddy Mac Dashboard
iGoogle Gadget

Install link for Godaddy iGoogle Gadget
The 3 widgets do the same thing in different factors and configurations. so there is no need to explain further that say they will allow you to search for a domain.
The missing suspect is the XP widget but i guess you will have to use Hypercube for that.
I had not used Godaddy domains up until recently and i used the Vista Sidebar gadget to do so. it worked fine. a good question would be why Godaddy?. Because in this new world of web 2.0 they offer the most important feature of all:
A full control domain dashboard.
This means that you can easily map your domain to Google Custom domains so you can use Blogger and Gmail with your domain or map it to your tumblr site. the same goes if you want to map your e-mail to your domain. you can use Windows Live custom domains and you will be able to map your Live.com mail account and Live Spaces Site to the same domain or have your mail in live.com and still use Blogger or Tumblr for your blog all by yourself without any need of assistance.
And that is the single reason i recommend you these widgets.
