So, the hugely delayed and anticipated Alternative Search engine has lanched. and there are now Widgets?. Bummer. hope they add them soon. i also hope they fix the bunch of hole the search got.
I looked for Widgets Lab and if i search it like it don`t gives you a result. if you search MySpace Widgets (Widgets Lab is the first to third result in the first page in Google) you also find “anythingâ€
I then searched for “widgets†and was surprised to see Widgets Lab suggested as a result in the search form and that the blog appeared in the first page. so for being so new, they are not so bad.. 
Lets see if they add widgets soon.

@Siddharth: they got several factors in their favor:
1.-incredible PR management (it is a very important factor)
2.-good design
3.-pedigree (they got key ex-googlers)
4.-Funding
5.-they are well connected
that alone puts them over most of the rest for a fighting chance. even if the end product may not be as good. i think they want Microsoft or even AOL or ASK to acquire them but the thing is how much they want? they cannot be worth more than powerset ($100m) so unless they take that or below i don`t see them getting acquired fast. but hey who knows how fast their algorithm and search can evolve.. maybe it does well and in a year they can aim for well beyond $100m. one can never know.
