1.-incredible PR management (it is a very important factor) 
2.-good design
3.-pedigree (they got key ex-googlers)
4.-Funding
5.-they are well connected 

that alone puts them over most of the rest for a fighting chance. even if the end product may not be as good. i think they want Microsoft or even AOL or ASK to acquire them but the thing is how much they want? they cannot be worth more than powerset ($100m) so unless they take that or below i don`t see them getting acquired fast. but hey who knows how fast their algorithm and search can evolve.. maybe it does well and in a year they can aim for well beyond $100m. one can never know. </description>
