Motorola Mobile division is not in it`s better days anymore. not since 2006 as a matter of fact. so right they dedicate to try to keep up with everything that is happening in the mobile market while also triying to fend of LG that is not close to surpass them. While all that happens. they have now launched the WebUI widget platform for their own version Widgetized mobile websites just like the one from Nokia with their S60 Widgets, Apple with its Web Apps and the yet to be launched Android who will also bring their own version of that into play.

Just like the rest it is based on Ajax and the execution of other common web elements like CSS, HTML and common JS. They are offer their own Developer Studio suite, documentation and the like and they should start appearing with the release of a motorola own linux platform called MOTOMAGX in the short future. the WebUI widget platform is nothing more that what we have already seen and the worst problem is that it is already delayed compared to the one by nokia and the one by Access. they are now only aiming to beat Android but that remains to be hold true.

seems like a noble effort but one cannot doubt at Motorola when they are about to fall into fourth place with the possibility of falling to a fifth place next year if their holiday batch of phones don`t make an impact. the other things is that it seems those phones will be sporting customizations of WM 6.1.

More unanswered question for this year end.
