StatBeast: Sport Statistics Flex Widgets

StatBeast is all about two things: Sports Statistics and Data Visualization. join both concepts together and you get some simple in look but very nice and powerful Sport Statistics Flex Widgets. the sports in questions are:
Football | Baseball | Hockey | Basketball | Boxing | Soccer | NASCAR
So, they are not aiming to the rare ones, but the most popular and easiest sports to track. simply because if you are into data visualization and statistics you kinda need things that generate numbers around like crazy in order to do your thing. no better than those seven sports.
The widgets are flex powered and it is just what anyone into sports statistics would want. there are only 3 things i must critique about them:
1.-The Look: Statbeast needs to make them more cool looking and make the banner less ugly.
2.-The Customization: where is it?. do i need to be part of the site?. i would not know because the widget does not tells me much.
3.-High Spread Sharing: while there is quick sharing for the embed code of the widget. it is not right there is not a high spread sharing module for the widgets. these widgets needs it. it is the kind of widget people would like to have in several places and not just in the web but also also in the vista sidebar. while people can copy and paste the code around. that is no longer a good enough solution for 2008.
Other than that. the widgets are good. and if you are into any of the sports they cover you should give them a look.

nice widgets, but honestly I prefer the youcalc widgets for analyzing and visualizing sports data. The don’t have a lot yet but the site is in beta and it looks promising: http://www.youcalc.com/apps/sports

Thank you for the article. We are rolling out an update to the widgets later this week (still updating) which should address point 3. You can check it out here:

As far as the Customize is concerned, if you click the customize bar you can pick different years,teams or other sort options.
The banner will be replaced by flash video overlay soon.

@StatBeast: that is great to know. on the customize. i mean the options to change the look and the size of the widget. but what you are telling sounds like a great update. let me know when that happens.
