Jaman.com is the maker of something called CinemaSlots.
CinemaSlots is a slot machine for movie trailers.
Click the “spin” button, listen to the slot machine jingle and wait for your trailer to appear. then click it to watch it.

Confession: I didn’t think I’d find it useful, but just a couple of spins and I was clicking to watch trailers of movies I’d never heard of! (I canceled my Netflix earlier this year and am now questioning that decision.) Who knew?
I’m a little confused about what the site does itself since when I clicked on the “Watch it on TiVo” button is just took me to the trailer’s page on the site.
Also, how come you didn’t embed this in your post, Derek? The widget was actually buried at the Jaman.com site itself. But, then again, widgets rarely get the frontpage respect they deserve.
@Todd: I didn’t embed the widget because it seemed to load quite slow. It could have been my connection at the time also.
I could swear I linked to the widget page…It was the bottom link. I should have made both point to the widget page.
Hey…thanks for commenting on the widget.
p.s. Did you try out the MyVGift widget? I’m trying to see what WidgetsLab gets for Christmas.
I didn’t try out the MyVGift widget until just now. Call me a purist, but I’m not the biggest fan of widgets that simply redirect. Though to feed the endless Amazon possibilities through any widget could be daunting.
Sent a DVD Widgetslab’s way for the upcoming Day of Santa…thinking I was the first to do so…which I wasn’t. I’m seeing how the widget works now which is growing on me. It’s cool!
A friend of mine has created the MyVGift widget from scratch.
I’m pretty sure its a hobby for him.
I like to see someone other than a well funded corporation put out something cool.
I am the friend of Derek’s that made the MyVGift.com widget. What else shoud you do on nights and weekends but make cool widgets? There are too many widgets out there that are just static and non-interactive. I tried to think of a cool way to let user’s interact with the widget and also be fun to display on a blog page. Thanks for checking it out!
@Tom Trust me, your solitary widget endeavors are applauded and encouraged by me.
I took some movie assets and spent WAY too much free time cutting my teeth on Flash to make my first widget. It’s hiding here: http://www.hollywidgets.com/2008/06/trumbo.html Be kind if you check it out as interactivity was not even thought about…I just wanted to get the dern thing to work!
