BookBox is currently in beta and the author, Laszlo Kozma is looking for feedback. You can find his email address at the bottom of the BookBox page.

This is a dynamic widget that auto updates when you add new books. It is also designed to fit into the space that you put it. I have placed it into this post, then added more books. Upon refresh, my new additions were displayed and the images filled the space where the widget was placed. Each book cover is linked directly to the corresponding Amazon.com page where you can read details on the book, purchase, read or write reviews, etc.

Some comments on reddit indicated the need for more secure log-in features. I have to agree, simply because right now you are only required to use a password. No username is required.

One problem I have discovered: If you decide to change the number of books displayed in your widget, you will have to update the javascript code manually. This may make people stop using the widget.

you can either click the link in the widget or go here to see all the projects that Laszlo is working on.

  1. Thanks for observing this bug with the number of books. I have fixed it now and there is no need to update the code after changing the number of books displayed.

    Best,
