Setting up the widget is very simple.
1. enter the web address of your page
2. choose your color
3. choose your width
4. agree to the Microsoft Terms of Service
5. submit

Simple Twitter badge from a reader

October 13th, 2009

Lab.Neo22s left a comment on a previous Twitter post sharing a Twitter badge that they had created.

We liked the badge! …so we are sharing it.

twitterbadge1

Like I said, its a simple badge. You input your Twitter username and then choose the background color and text color. Then you get to decide the text on the badge. Simple!

twitterbadge2

This badge is designed to sit in a vertical position on the right hand side of your page and it scrolls with the page. I assume a simple code edit will allow you to place it on the left hand side and possibly stop the scroll action. (not sure here)

I would request the the author of the widget/badge gave the option for right/left placement without the need to edit the code.

you can find the Twitter badge here.

embeditin

Say you want to put a pdf on your blog but you don’t want to make your readers download it or have to open a pdf reader just to view it.

embedit.in is your solution.

From pictures to pdfs, text docs to video… embedit.in will give you the code embed virtually any file you want to display.
Signing in to embedit.in is really easy if you have an account with one of the following… Google, Yahoo, Twitter, AOL, WordPress or Open ID (Google = 2 clicks and I was in!)

Here is an example embedit.in pdf from 4th grade math class.

These embeds are Flash based and should work on most blog platforms. Below is an example of what the embedit.in interface looks like. Notice all the custom size options as well as background color and ability to choose thumbnails as well as links to your embed.
