Mozilla claims Firefox Mobile now faster than Android default browser.
I like the looks of Firefox for Android. I just wish that my underpowered Hero would run the new Firefox. 
This is something you will need to test out on your own. Simply because of all the different configurations of Android and Handsets running Android.
