Songbird for Android gets Awesome

March 7th, 2011

Songbird is a Mozilla developed media manager that would be considered an alternative to iTunes. Songbird has come a long way to becoming a premier application and now has an Android app in the late stages of beta testing.

The Songbird Android app is very polished at this stage. It features scrobbling options and Facebook integration.

Unfortunately it looks like Samsung has been left out of the Songbird supported Gadget list.

iBoobs for Android

March 6th, 2011

You can shake, touch, jiggle, wobble, bounce and supposedly expose a set of pretty awesome cartoon boobs, right on your phone.

The full app will run you $2.10. However, there is a ‘lite’ version that is FREE. We’ll take a look at the free version to see what can be expected with the full version. Apparently the free version stops working after 8 boob miles. (found in the comments) You are supposed to click on an ad to earn more miles. This seems to be broken…not to mention it sounds like a direct violation of any sort of guidelines for advertising.

From the developer:

Enjoy the next generation boob bouncing technology on your Android phone and show the app they were waiting for ages your iPhone loving friends with a smile on your face, make them jealous and remind them that iBoobs won’t make it to their phone.

Get All Honeycomb Wallpapers In An App

March 6th, 2011

Install the ‘Honeycomb Wallpapers’ app from the Android Market to get all the cool, stock Honeycomb Wallpapers on your Android device.

Developer GFX ANDROID has created an application that adds ‘Honeycomb Wallpapers’ to your default wallpaper switcher screen. This makes changing to the new wallpapers just that much easier. Another nice feature about this app is it works on Android 1.6 and above! This is awesome if your device has been left behind with updates.

Check out GFX ANDROID’s other Apps.

The image above shows you what you will see when you click on ‘Menu’…’set wallpaper’ on a ‘Vanilla’ Android install.

For those of you with older phones with limited internal storage, this is a 4.0 mb app. I assume that its this big because the wallpapers are high resolution.
If you are fortunate enough to have Froyo on your device, you can move this app to your SD card with no problem. Menu…Settings…Applications…Manage Applications. Choose ‘Honeycomb Wallpapers’ and then choose ‘Move to SD’
