“due to requirements related to copyright protection” Google is blocking access to ‘Android Market Movie Rentals’ for any ‘Rooted’ Android devices. You will get an error message when you attempt to try — “Failed to fetch license for [movie title] (error 49)”.
Apparently anyone who is willing to root their device, and risk voiding their warranty in order to upgrade their phones (Carriers use ‘No Upgrade’ to push new device sales) is automatically a pirate that is going to somehow steal a streaming movie from the Android Marketplace. I smell Bullshit!
