Grilled Cheese at Caribou Coffee

August 8th, 2011

I’m not exactly sure how this fits into a coffee store…but I have to give Kudos to Caribou Coffee for constantly trying out new and innovative idead to improve business.

Introducing ‘Grown-Up Grilled Cheese’

If you have never been to a Caribou Coffee…know this, there is no grill to be grilling stuff on. At best there is a toaster oven and a microwave.

Now don’t get me wrong…the food in the picture looks very appealing. (When doesn’t it?)

They have sweetened the deal a bit with an incentive to try. For this week, if you buy any beverage, you can get a ‘Grown-Up Grilled Cheese’ for only $3.

Notice the asterisk? I think this refers to the ‘only in participating stores‘ bit.

The mobile app for Gmail was updated today.

This is the version of Gmail that only requires a mobile browser. No platform specific app is required.

According to the announcement, The layout has been sharpened with a focus on the icons. New also is a ‘Drag Down to Refresh’ feature that seems to be a popular trend with mobile related products.

For those of you using Gmail for mobile on an iPhone 4 Retina display, the icons and graphics are now at a higher resolution, making Gmail for mobile sharper.
