Google Translate Android App with 14 language Conversation Mode

October 13th, 2011 by Derek Anderson Leave a reply »

Now some of the 190 million Android activations worldwide that Google has just announced, can communicate with each other a bit easier. What I am talking about is the latest update to Google Translate for Android.

This remarkable little app now allows you to ‘conversationally’ translate 14 different languages. Simply choose your language preferences and then click the microphone icon. Speak your words and hit the translate button. The app will also translate any response that your foreign friend may deliver. Allowing you to basically hold a conversation.

This is the beginning! The birth of the Universal Translator. (sorry Hoshi :( )

Google Translate has never been perfect. But it does shine compared to any other translator available.
